From Consultation to Opening Day: How VAROSH Helped Andino Cafe With Their Coffee Trailer
Every bag of coffee we roast ends up in someone's hands, and some of those hands are building something of their own. This month, we're proud to introduce one of them: Andino Cafe, a new coffee truck in Concord, NC, opening at the end of October.
We started this series for a simple reason. The people who buy from us are part of our mission to serve others, and spread the good news. Telling their stories is one small way we can say thank you, and raise awareness of other businesses growing in our community.

Meet Andino Cafe
Andino brings two South American traditions together for their coffee truck: Ecuadorian and Colombian. Their tagline says it best: "Two countries. Unique flavors. One delicious experience!"
We have to say the star of the menu might actually be their empanadas. Andino makes them with wheat or corn flour dough, seasoned and cooked to a golden finish. The Colombian empanadas come filled with beef, chicken, pork, or cheese, alongside Ecuadorian-style empanadas rooted in the same family traditions.
To go with them, Andino serves espresso drinks, hot or iced, made with VAROSH's Pure Gold Blend, with contains a blend of medium roasted coffee beans from Brazil and Colombia. Coffee and empanadas are a natural pairing across South America, and Andino wants Concord to experience that same mid-morning ritual.
Andino Cafe gets its name, inspired by the Andes Mountains. If you don't know much about the Andes Mountains, it is the highest mountain range in the Western Hemisphere. The Andes Mountains is the longest continental mountains as well covering 7 South American Countries, ranging from Venezuela all the way down to Argentina.
The owners, Alex and Rina, opens Andino Cafe in October 2026, ready to serve you empanadas and coffee.

How VAROSH met Andino Cafe
The Andino team found us online while searching for a local roaster who could help them get started. Soon after, they stopped by the roastery for a consultation. And as always, we always welcome newcomers.
We sat down with them, letting them try out VAROSH coffee and the equipment while they were here.
They arrived with a clear vision for the food and the culture they wanted to share. What they needed was a partner on the coffee side: which beans to serve, what equipment their cart could handle, and how to dial it all in. They were looking for a coffee roaster that could educate them on coffee, and be there long-term to support their business flow. From the time of the first conversation to the opening date, we got learn a lot about their business, and be able to share what we know to help their business prepare for future.

A few months of learning together
We wanted Andino to understand their coffee well enough to run it with confidence on their own. In order to do so, we educated them on choosing the right set up, and training them to how to get the best results with VAROSH coffee beans.
Sourcing the beans. We walked through origins, roast levels, and flavor profiles together, tasting side by side until we found coffees that fit their menu. In the end, Andino choose Pure Gold, which has a rich flavor that also ties in with their roots. Soon they will be serving espressos, lattes, and cappuccinos, fresh and ready for their customers.
Choosing the equipment. A coffee truck has real limits on space, power, and water. We helped them weigh their options and pick an espresso setup that could keep up with a busy weekend line. Initially, we discussed a few options, and they realized they needed an espresso machine that would better match their workflow. VAROSH guided them, and in the end, Andino's Cafe went with Eversys, which is a great option for automating coffee. VAROSH Coffee Roasters assisted in ordering the machine for them and properly installing it within their new coffee truck.
Building the know-how. Along the way we covered the fundamentals: freshness and storage, grind and extraction, and how to keep every cup consistent. By the end, the Andino team wasn't just buying coffee. They understood it.

Equipment Installation and Training Leading Up To the Grand Opening
Andino Cafe stopped by VAROSH Coffee Roasters in Indian Trail days before their open date. We got to witness their new coffee trailer, which looked awesome with the new logo on it.
The owners were eager to get their new equipment. We had them unveil the packaging to their excitement. VAROSH then proceeded to install the Eversys espresso machine inside their coffee truck. We configured all the setting and gave some pointers on how to use it daily or make changes if they needed it.
